Generic AI tools write plausible SQL and misread execution plans, because they do not know the engine. DBAI Engine is built the other way round: deep knowledge of Oracle AWR and ASH, SQL Server DMVs and Query Store, PostgreSQL pg_stat and MySQL Performance Schema.
Every action is classified by a policy engine before it runs — green is safe, yellow needs approval, red is blocked. For production databases that distinction is the whole product: autonomy without a brake is not a feature anyone can buy.
It also speaks MCP, so a company can bring the AI model it already uses rather than adopting ours.
